FREE PRIVATE PODCAST for working mums who want to take back their life and stop missing the best years of being a mum

WORK TOOK OVER:
THE 5 SHIFTS SERIES

It all starts here...

The bit you actually want to know.

I’m Roz.

I coach high-achieving working mums who look like they’re holding it together… while privately wondering why life feels so heavy even when they’re doing “everything right”.

I live in Oxfordshire with my husband James and our two small tornadoes (7 and 5 - where did the time go?).

I’m the kind of person who loves a walk, loves a good plan, and has a long history of trying to solve problems by pushing harder.

And it worked brilliantly… right up until it didn’t.

I burnt out trying to do it all, but still feeling like I wasn't enough. And I don't want that for you.

I don’t do fluffy. I don’t do “just be more present” as if you can mindfulness your way out of a life that’s genuinely full.

I help you work out what’s really driving the pressure, so you can stop carrying everything like it’s urgent and start giving the best of you to what matters.

How I got here

For twenty years I worked in senior commercial roles in global consumer goods companies (Diageo, Mars, Danone). Big pace, big responsibility, big expectations. I climbed, I led teams, I delivered, I was competent and reliable and could handle a lot.

Then I had kids. Then we moved countries. Then we moved again. Then life got full in a way that doesn’t look dramatic from the outside, but slowly eats your ability to think clearly.

And here’s the bit I didn’t see coming:

In the middle of all that, I lost something that used to come naturally to me.

My spark. My drive. The joy in my life.

It showed up in the small moments. Like driving in silence because I couldn’t even be bothered to sing anymore.

Like reheating the same coffee three times and still never drinking it hot.

Like saying yes to evening and weekend working because getting it done felt easier than choosing myself.

Like that creeping feeling of being in everything… but not really in anything.

I’m not proud of it, but it’s true: there was a point where I didn’t trust myself to take my kids to the park on my own because I was so depleted.

That’s when I realised burnout isn’t just tiredness. It steals parts of you that matter.

The thing that changed everything for me wasn’t a better routine.

It wasn’t a morning miracle or another productivity system.
And it wasn’t even going part-time and hoping the rest would work itself out (spoiler: it didn’t, it just cut my pay and doubled my guilt).

It was getting the support to figure out what really matters to me and allowing myself come back to that.

Not in a burn it all down and start again way. Slowly, deliberately and with structure that meant I could see the progress I was making every day.

Because when you’ve trained yourself for years to be the capable one, the reliable one, the woman who delivers… you don’t just stop when you become a mum.

You just expand that pressure into every area of life.

And unless something interrupts that pattern, you keep pushing until your body forces you to stop.

And that’s why I do this work now.

Because I’ve lived the version where everything looked fine, and it absolutely wasn’t. And you deserve so much more than that.

Peter
